7 Quick Takes Friday

Its been awhile since I've joined in with Erin @ 7 Little Aussies and I think its worth while that I do as lately I seem to be on a run of Ground Hog days! Can you believe that the last time I QTF'ed was in August!!

— 1 —
I've been having alot of tired days lately! Lots! and that means not doing much at all! I've decided that I'm going to 'talk' myself into energy! I'm no longer suffering from Morning Sickness and I would think that I'm used to the lack of sleep from Braith so I really don't have any excuse to be soooooo tired and lack lustre when it comes to running things around here. So its back into the drivers seat this week!!

— 2 —
Time to get a handle on Braith's non-sleeping issues (notice I said non-sleeping instead of sleeping lol) The constant waking every 2 hrs or so for a bottle is driving me mad!! I've tried reflux meds @ $45 for 100mls and chiropractor sessions with no success. But he did go spend a night with a friend and ended up sleeping for 6 hrs or so straight! Soooooo perhaps this Mumma is being too soft with him! I've bought the book 'Save our Sleep' by Tizzie Hall AND I intend on using it! lol!! Will let you know how it goes :)

— 3 —
Kadee turns 2 tomorrow! Amazing how the time passes so QUICKLY these days! I spend a good 2 hrs browsing the shops BY MYSELF this evening for birthday nick knacks and I enjoyed the time ALONE so much! lol!

— 4 —
The stars are still aligned when it comes to the renovations :) We are still plodding along and hope to have some more walls and perhaps the roof installed this week :)

— 5 —
Lots of organising plans this week, swapping everyones winter clothes out for summer ones and moving the little kids up a size :) Massive job and I'm not looking forward to it!

— 6 —
I'm going to take a little bit of time for me this week! Back to my regular exercise and some ALONE time just to relax! Perhaps a new book is in order?

— 7 —
Sometimes finding 7 things exciting enough to blog about is a struggle, little things that are meaningful to me, is about as boring as watching grass grow for everyone else! :) !!

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —
Today has been a awesome week! Nothing exciting or eventful happened but there was a lot of family interaction this week which always makes me extra happy :)

— 2 —
I've been on track with my eating this week and I've exercised everyday this week :) And it feels good :)

— 3 —
We have the dreaded cold back into the house with Silas, Kaydence and Braith all being miserable. Luckily for me Braith is the only one waking up constantly because he's getting congested. Getting up to one night owl is manageable for me :)

— 4 —

— 5 —
3rd last game of soccer :( I love being a soccer Mumma!

— 6 —
Sipping my cup of tea, wearing my dressing gown that I got for mothers day, in preparation for some mumma time reading blogs :) (This might have to be my standard #6) and here I am yet again :) and yep here I am again - well today I'm blogging this in the morning, eating my eggs and mushrooms, sipping my tea, dressed in my workout gear with my shoes waiting patiently for a run :)

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —
And here we are again! I missed last Friday so I should have lots of fun stuff to share, right?!?

— 2 —
My wonderful brother Trevor and sister in law Taren (*Waves) came to visit with their 3 awesome kidlets :) The days went way to fast as usual but we managed to cram in lots of shopping, cooking, eating, playing and of course running around after the kidlets :) Miss them way too much and can't wait for our trip to Gladstone in September for more cuddles :)
We were so busy we forgot to get the camera's out but at the last min I managed to catch a photo of Silas and Zaylen :)

Ummmmm not sure what Zay's jacket is doing lol!!

— 3 —
Both Braith and Kaydence are sleeping alot better, I'm getting a couple of good 3 hr blocks of sleep each nite now, life is looking rosie again! I bought them both Amber Teething Necklaces, not sure if they work but they look cute :)

Here Kaydence is posing and showing off those pearly whites that are giving her (and Mumma) restless and sleepless nights. We are 'lucky' enough to be cross cutting her stomach and eye teeth atm, oh the fun and the joy :)

— 4 —
The home schooling jounery is still an exciting adventure, where I am starting to gather quiet a collection of resources, I have my eye on a white board to add to the collection this week :)

— 5 —
My brother Trevor, Sister in Law Taren (waves hello) and their 3 kids are coming for a quick visit this week! I can't wait to see everyone again, its been a long time between visits and is extra special as we will be catching up with each others new babies, Zaylen and Braith!

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —
And here we are again! Friday (well Saturday, running late lol) and the week has flown by!! Lots of little catch up things happened this week, but nothing big and exciting :(

— 2 —
It seems as though Minx and Bruno might be expecting ! Minx is getting round (but that might be due to all the winter leftovers she's getting) and if my dates are right end of August, beginning of September will be puppy time! I've not had a dog that's had pups so I'm not sure of how to tell if she is in pup. But I'm sure it will be obvious soon enough!

— 3 —
Ticket is book for the Michelle Bridges 12 week body challenge after party. Sharna and I went to the 1st one in Melbourne ealier this year as Sharna participated in round 1 and had fantastic results (she bypassed her goal weight) and Sharna has a friend who is participating in round 2, so we were able to get tickets for this after party, which happens to be held in Brisbane!! YAY!! Another excuse to dress up and hang out with the girls, can't wait!!

— 4 —
Watched Callum play soccer today, and its official! I'm a soccer Mumma, you know the ones jumping up and down, yelling louder then the coach, funny as! I loved playing as a teen (played for 5 years and even referred) and totally miss playing the game! I was wrapped the day Cal switched codes, I endured 3 years of Rugby League (watching the games was fun, but I'm a soccer girl at heart).

No over indulging in yummy home baked goodies this week, gotta get this butt into gear to fit nicely into the dress I'm wearing for the after party which is in about 3 weeks, eek!

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —
So here I sit, sipping my cuppa tea, which is probably the best tea I've ever tasted! Used full fat milk! And its way to late as per usual, but not because the babies are awake, but because I am having me time!!

— 2 —
Our impromptu holiday with Rob and Kristina, was FANTASTIC! So we got there late as Mike worked late but we were welcomed by 6 boys and a awesome Mexican meal made by Rob and Kristina. And can I say I love their 7 BEDROOM house! So spacious! and only 10mins from the beach! LOVE LOVE LOVE! The kids had the best time and Silas even tried to hid his shoes so we couldn't leave! Thanks again!

— 3 —
Nearly under 70kgs, hoping with a bit of sleep I'll be able to maintain my exercise and good eating and get into the 60's :)

— 4 —
I've been introduced to Flaxseed Oil via my fitness barbie friend Sharna :) so many health benefits and I can't wait to get some to try!

— 5 —

7 Quick Takes Friday

Its nearly the end of the school holidays! Where did the weeks go? Everyone here is getting a bit down as big brother Jaidon is going back to his Mums, and we won't get to see him again til September holidays. But with Face Book and unlimited long distance calls we chat to him on a nearly daily basis.

— 2 —
Impromptu holiday with Rob and Kristina, another 'crazy' large family who also drives a Hiace:) We catch up for park plays (not as regularly as we should!) and they have invited us to say overnight at their place on the sunshine coast :) Beach here we come!! With 4 adults and 13 kids, I'm guessing we're in for a interesting holiday. (Yep a night away with all the kids is a holiday lol!)

— 3 —

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —
Could it be possible? I've beaten the flu! Yippee! Now just have to wait for the rest of the kids to shake it! Why do we seem to get some sort of sickness when its the holidays? The Easter school holidays were a write off as Braith was in hospital for the week with RSV! Fingers crossed that the September holidays are much more fun!

— 2 —
I still can't believe I'm 30 this year! WOW where did the years go? But I have to say I have a good feeling about the next decade :)

— 3 —
Looking forward to getting back into my fitness now that I'm feeling better! I'm back to my pre-Braith weight, now I just have to run off those last 10kgs

— 4 —
Lots of home schooling activity this week and both the kids and I are excited :)

— 5 —

And can you believe I saw a DEER over my back fence this week!!!?? As we back onto bushland I expect to see a variety of different 'native animals', like Goanna's, Kangaroo's and Cockatoo's but never a DEER!! And yes I've not had much sleep but the kids can testify for me that it was really there! lol!!

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —

Its the start of the school holidays! No early mornings making lunches, or any late nights making sure uniforms are just right and bags are packed! Late nights for everyone!! and perhaps some sleep ins for me!!

— 2 —
Its Callum's 12th birthday today!! Happy Birthday to my handsome young man!! Being a first born is extra special!

— 3 —
Jaidon is back with us for the holidays! YAY! (Jaidon is my stepson who lives with his Mum but comes to us on the holidays) We love having big brother here, and its extra special now that Kadee remembers who he is and runs up to him for big monkey cuddles!

— 4 —
Kids are all settled for the night, the girls are on their laptops and the boys are watching KungFu Panda 2. Braith and Kadee are asleep (who knows how long for though!)

7 Quick Takes Friday

— 1 —

Tonight I have 9 kids, the oldest 3, have friends sleeping over. Out of 9 kids I currently have 3 sleeping, 4 watching movies and 2 chatting away in bed. Its 10pm, yawn!

— 2 —
Tomorrow we have to be on the other side of town (40min drive) for Callum's Soccer Game. With 9 kids and I also have to pick up another mum and her son. So in the 'car' will be 12 of us. On a 40min car ride.
Need I say more?

— 3 —
The 1st pea and ham soup of the winter has been made and is simmering away on the stove. Delish!

— 4 —
I can hear the big boys laughing themselves silly at the movie they are watching, its amazing how everyone of them as a different laugh.

— 5 —
The sun is susposed to be shining this weekend, I can't wait to get out in the veggie patch and start preparing it for planting :)

— 6 —
Mini achievement for the night would be getting the kitchen cleaned while running around after the 9 kidlets.

— 7 —
Finally time to myself to catch up on some blogs with a cuppa tea, just in time for Braith and Kadee to wake up 1000 times throughout the night.

Just to let you know I stumble across this at http://aussiecoffeeshop.blogspot.com
