We're going on a Missions Trip!!

FUNDRAISING FOR VANUATU MISSIONS TRIP
Hi, I’m Livia, on the left. The one on the right is my brother,  Callum.

Soon we will be travelling across the ocean to go to Vanuatu.

The reason we are visiting
is that we’re going to be stopping by some of the smaller villages, where they don’t have much of your everyday items.
Soap, face washers, toilet paper, toothbrushes, clothing and medicine.

You see, that’s what we’re giving them.

We would appreciate it if you’d buy a chocolate, so that we can go make a difference.

Don't you just love the little poster Livia created, to sell chocolates to help fundraise to cover our costs to attend our distance education schools mission trip??

I just had to share :)

Quote of the Moment

I heard these words tonight and they left such a strong impression on me. So simple but so true.

Danions 1st Birthday!

I can't believe that its already been a whole year since Dani was born! It tugs at my heart strings when I realise that he will be all grown up before I know it!

I love it when friends message me with amazing late night ideas. I had never done a cake smash before and it was lots of fun for everyone, even the big kids who threw the left over cake at each other! Everyone was so blue! It was a smurf fest! lol :)

Home schooling - Back into it Term 2

I've been wanting to catch up with my blogging and thought it would be a great start by taking a snapshot of our home schooling days :) The good and the bad lol!

Term 1 was a bit wishy washy, and when so busy with, well everything to do with life, its often a bit tricky for me to really to say Ahha! we achieved amazing things ;)

We had an early start for everyone for Day 1 of Term 2 :)

Up at 5.30am so that we are able to go to a fellow home schooling friends breakfast birthday, dropping the babies off to their daycare mum, then off to the CSIRO for our science workshops. This was a bit of a shock to my older kids who generally enjoy a generous sleep in each morning sometimes only climbing out of bed at nearly 9am after numerous wake up calls from me hehehe.

Silas participated in Living Things, where he examined and defined what was living or non living things, and did several experiments with a few other boys he had met on our home schooling travels.

Aliya participated in A Biological World, where she examined various living things under microscopes :) Aliya is very independent so she did this workshop on her own. My little girl is growing up so fast!!

Callum and Livia participated in DNA to the Max, where they learned about DNA structures and got to play around with Barley DNA. Did you know that bananas have 30% same DNA as us?? Lots of weird banana jokes came from this wonderful fact lol!

We did take along our maths work to do while waiting for workshops but Callum was the only one who completed it (very proud of his attitude to his work this morning, hope it lasts lol) while Livia read and Aliya drew. Silas played with some new kids he had met. But that's ok.

Its been a long and tiring day, I've just managed to finish baking white chocolate and banana cakes, one for a pool play tomorrow and one for Danion's 1st birthday!

I can't believe that a year ago I was going into labour with my amazing little guy! Seems so long ago now, time has flown on by this past year!
