15 Weeks baby number 6

ALREADY!! Can't believe it! This pregnancy is going so fast, and so far has been quiet easy. Mike and I sometimes forget that I'm even pregnant!! I've gained a bit of weight (like I always do) but other then that I'm feeling very comfortable.
I went for a doctors check up today. Blood pressure is a little high, but not something to be concerned about and no sign of another UTI which is great as I would rather not take antibiotics if I don't have to!

But the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat....... This is a new doctor I'm seeing so I'm hoping that he lacks experience in using the Doppler. I'm trying not to be concerned, at 15 wks the baby just maybe a little small to get a good reading, or might not be in the right position. I have an appt on Thursday with the hospital and their very experienced midwives.............if they can't find a heartbeat then I'll worry!!!!!

Apricot Chicken! Delish!!

A favourite that I've not made in awhile, always goes down well with the kids. But Silas has decided that he doesn't like chicken at all.........

Fresh Picked Turnips...

Are fantastic roasted! We picked these ones when they were the size of an apple. Tossed them in some olive oil and roasted 30-40 mins. They tasted sweet but with a potato texture (as described by a 11 & 6 yr old).

This is the first time I've used them like this, usually they get chopped up and added to soups.

Growing Up.....

My baby girl sure is growing up quick!! Here she is at 2 mths, totally immobile, cute as a button practising her smiles.

Now she is walking a bit here and there, discovering that she can open cupboards and draws, and finding that if she uses her vocal cords everyone will come running to be at her beck and call.

This Christmas that poor tree will not be looking so cute as she discovers those shiny baubles........

Large Family Washing......

Its my nightmare chore!! I loathe it!! Washing meh, not so bad. Each night I put a load on before bed and either use the dryer that night or hang it in the morning and get it off in the arvo. But when it comes to folding............oh I procrastinate something shocking! The longest I've managed to keep up with my folding is a week, maybe 2. It usually get dumped on a lounge devoted to the washing!

Its taken me a good 45mins or so to fold this lot and there is a few loads hanging over chairs ready to hang up. There is about another 6-10 loads to fold!!! This is about 4-5wks of non folding.........but now that morning sickness has eased off I'm hoping to get into a great routine :) Cross ur fingers everyone!!

Wordless Wednesday

Its all about mushroom madness!! Silas loves mushrooms. And yes he is using a sharp knife at the age of 3. Under supervision of course. And Silas has respect for knives and know that they are not to be used unless Mum is there to help him. He won't even pick them up when unloading the dishwasher with his siblings.

12 wks

Well baby #6 is at 12 wks :) I'm loving the stage I am atm. Not feeling sick and if Kadee was sleeping at night, I wouldn't be tired either :) Its a nice feeling to cast my mind into the future, and start planning this little ones arrival :)

We are stuck on names though! With such great names already used for the other kids, we're finding it a challenge to find another great name that will fit..........I think that the challenge may be easier when we find out what we are having.

I know too well how fast pregnancy passes and I want to enjoy every last minute of it, as I could very well be my last. Being pregnant with Kadee (#5) was one of my easiest and I'm hoping that this one will be similar. Totally not looking forward to the c/s, this will be #4 and they don't get easier, but I must admit that a scheduled c/s is much more pleasant then an emergency one :)

I can't wait to go for my next scan in perhaps 4-6 wks time :)

Gardening :)

Yes I'm still pottering away at my garden, the cold weather has slowed down growing, which also means less weeds. I love the thought there might be a green thumb hiding on my hand somewhere!

ATM I've got zucchini, snow peas, turnips, shallots and lots of herbs ripe for the picking. I do need to get my butt into gear and start planting for the summer months :)

I won't be able to reach my dream of being fully sustainable from my garden, with the quanties needed for a large family.... its fun for the kids though :)

Kaydence is off to get her 6mth needles......

A old picture but a goodie! This used to be her favourite sleeping position, sung in Daddy's arm!! She is now too big to sit comfortably and sleep like that now!

We're only a few months late cause she kept getting a cold when we were scheduled to go in to the doctors!! So wish us luck! Hopefully she won't get too upset......

Pregnancy Cravings :)

Messy Mutts!

This is why my puppies are outside dogs....Bruno was well and truely enjoying the rainy weather, playing in the mud :)

Don't know why I got 2 big WHITE dogs!! It's like sending kids out to play in white all day long and expecting them to stay clean! lol!!

Minx is the 'clean' one, she is a few years older then Bruno and is much too 'mature' too be silly and play in the mud!

Luv my puppy wuppies!
