Small Success Thursday

Its been a long time since I've participated in Small Success Thursday, but I did find that it was nice to actually list some achievements for the week.

The run down on SST is as copied from Chocolate for your Brain "This is the day we take stock of those little things that we've done in the past week that either advanced us towards a goal, advanced us towards preserving our family or showed that we did the little things this week that matter, that add up to a lot of little things done with great love. To participate, just list three or more if you were feeling ambitious things that were small successes in your week on your blog and link up."

SO here are my SST's......

1. I online shopped for the 1st time in ages. I did toy with the idea of taking 7 kids out to the shops, you know, something to do, but decided that the potential of the babies playing up and or the kids nagging me for this and that, was wayyyyyy too much for this Mumma to enjoy lol!!

2. I've got my organising mojo back and I've been pottering around the place hitting the hotspots and putting things back in their places, culling anything 'broken/wornout/not used this century'. Its amazing how much 'stuff' is collected over 10 yrs! Even with semi-regular culling!

3. I've managed to keep up with the everyday chores for the last few weeks :) Its so nice to wake up to a clean house and not worry about doing a mad clean if someone decides to visit :) Even the washing and folding is completely up to date!! Fingers crossed we stay in this groove :)

So that's it for me - short and sweet :)

Small Success Thursday

Small Success Quote:

Baby Steps, Baby Steps....

Profound:

Discovering, after having 6 babies, that sleep is so very very important, overrated perhaps but very important! lol!
Mundane:
My never ending washing! Bring on summer and less layers!
More Mundane:
chores, chores, chores
Delightful:
Hanging out with Braith at 5am while everyone else is still asleep.
Cute:
Silas letting me know that I'm the most beautiful Mumma in the world! Awe!
Always a Treat:
Hot Milo and Rice Bubbles :) (not mixed together!)
Good News Even if it's Not Great News:
We have renewed motivation to continue with the renovations! So many different things to do, but as we are doing the work ourselves and paying for it as we go along, its always matter of time and extra money, which is always rare these days!

SST is found over at Chocolate for your Brain and Aussie Coffee Shop and a newie I've found via SST These Things

Small Success Thursday

Thanks so much to Sherry from Chocolate for your brain for hosting Small Success each week, and to aussiecoffeeshop just because I discovered this over there :)

Small Success Quote:

Chillax?!?

Profound:

Realising that some people will never change but I can change the way I react to them.
Mundane:
Breaking my fruit bowl that I've had for 12 yrs on a cold winters morning while up with Braith (4am actually! lol!)
More Mundane:
Breaking my favourite mug and then cutting myself on it, the day after I broke my fruit bowl!! Bubble wrap for everything I think! ;)
Delightful:
Eating Pizza flavoured chips? All by myself! Now I know why I night eat lol!! Naughty!
Cute:
Braith pulling himself up onto his knees and elbows! Not long now til he is crawling!!
Always a Treat:
Having a 5 hr sleep? oh yes I'm a girl with simple needs hehehe!
Good News Even if it's Not Great News:
Finally got headway on my clothes storage! Its already cost me $80 for the boxes to have everything sealed to go into the outside sheds, but to replace all those clothes for future kids would cost alot more! Still lots to do though! argh!

Small Success Thursday

Small Success Thursday Quote

I think it quite fitting that I start with a inspiring quote that reflects the moment, even if it doesn't seem to reflect anything related to my small successes :)

Profound:
Realising that its Thursday again ALREADY! (think this will be my mantra for my SST lol!)
Mundane:
Still lots of sleepless nights, starting to catch up to me this week though....
More Mundane:
Not being as active as I usually am due to lack of sleep! I've only worked out 3 times the last week.....
Delightful:
Playing clapping games with my girls :) Its so fun just to hang with them and have a good giggle!
Cute:
Braith kicking his legs with excitement when he sees his Daddy come home after a long day at work
Always a Treat:
Baking cupcakes late at night and getting to lick the beaters and bowl BY MYSELF lol!! ;)
Good News Even if it's Not Great News:
Turning 30 this week, YAY for birthdays not YAY for getting old! hehehehe!

Small Success Thursday

Small Success Thursday Quote

I think it quite fitting that I start with a inspiring quote that reflects the moment, even if it doesn't seem to reflect anything related to my small successes :)

If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it :)

Profound:
Realising that its Thursday again ALREADY! And when I reflect back on the week, I feel like its rushed on by without me doing anything! A lot of nothing really!!
Mundane:
Lots of sleepless nights due to Braith and Kaydence not sleeping well.
More Mundane:
Trying to get motivated in the mornings, the winter cold is making it a struggle to get everyone up and going!
Delightful:
Getting the kids report cards from school yesterday and seeing both the girls ACE their subjects, with lots of A's and some B's. And feeling really proud of Callum for getting a lot of C's, B's and even a few A's!! (last year we had mostly D's due to his 'lack of effort'). So proud of my 3 little smarty pants!!
Cute:
Kadee sitting on my lap giving me big monkey cuddles and patting my back while I type :) Such a huggie little kid :)
Always a Treat:
Organising to have a impromptu lunch with a couple of my closest mates for my birthday next weekend :)
Good News Even if it's Not Great News:
Not sure this week......We have school holidays coming up, so perhaps good news for us not having to rush out in the mornings, not so great as I will have 7 kids at home to 'entertain' lol :)
